All Dancers in the state of Texas:
Dear Dancers,
Cal and I are in charge of the 2016 compiling the 2016 National Square Cookbook, “Step Into a Real Texas Kitchen. We are interested in recipes that have been in the family for years, recipes that are associated to Texas, Tex/Mex and just any that are just plain good. It is our desire to have as many people as possible add to this cookbook. Feel free to send more than one.
Attached is a form and flyer of suggested sections. If you think that we have missed any categories please let us know. Please make comments as to changes that you have tried: Example I have a fresh apple cake, but it is wonderful with peaches or apricots instead of apples. Make comments such as, “my grandmother baked this cake at Christmas”. We have recipes that we take to square dances. Make a comment that the club likes this recipe. We want this to be the best Cookbook Ever!
We have about 4,000 dancers in Texas and we would like to have all of you send several recipes. Texas is the Best, Biggest and has the Best Cooks in the world, so send in those recipes. We will be glad to have your recipe on a scrap of paper if a form is not available. We do not want anyone to be missed.
